Buses to New York

If you want to go to New York City for the day.. try the overnight bus.  Round trip it is around $60.  There are a few companies in the area.  They leave at midnight, get you there at 8 am, then you can catch a 4 pm bus and be back by midnight - or you can spend the night and come back the next day.

 Local Summer Buses

Sometimes parking and getting around town can be difficult.  We don't have a great transportation system, unless your at the beach and it is summer time.  Here are some hints.  Parking at the beach can be difficult.  You can park at the Lynnhaven Mall, catch the Trolley to the beach for $3 a day (ride as much as you want and it goes till 2 am).  http://www.hrtransit.org/vbwave/index.html

Also if you want to go to Busch Garden or historic Williamsburg, catch the Boomerang.  It is a free bus that goes from the beach to the park in the morning and back again in the evening.
